Now in the Studio:
The following shows I’ve mixed for Live Nation but have yet to be released outside of the WWW or TV Broadcast. Some of these have aired on the Live Nation website, the AT&T Blue Room, Verizon Wireless, Rogers Wireless, DirecTV and others:
- Hilary Duff, The Hives, Jill Scott, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, 30 Seconds to Mars, Peter, Bjorn & John, Flyleaf, True West, Javier, Beastie Boys, Dandy Warhols, TV on the Radio, Sick Puppies, Velvet Revolver, The Actual, Copeland, Chantal Kreviazuk. I’m told the Hilary Duff show will eventually be released as a DVD for Hollywood Records. Let’s hope. I love the way the 5.1 mixes came out.
- Recorded and Mixed with Dave Levine and Ray Luzier - Music for the upcoming Documentary Film “Bigger, Stronger, Faster” directed by Christopher Bell. An
- Official Sundance 2008 entry, this Documentary explores America’s win-at-all-cost philosophy by examining the way two brothers became members of the steroid subculture in an effort to realize their American dream. - Mixed the song “Blame It On My Youth” by Chet Baker for Producer John Leftwich and Photographer Bruce Weber. This is an original track from the Academy Award nominated Documentary “Let’s Get Lost” directed by Bruce Weber. I was asked to provide a new mix of this song as a teaser for the possible re-release of the film on DVD. John Leftwich and I plan on remixing approximately 3 CDs worth of previously unreleased music recorded during the making of this extraordinary documentary. More details soon.
- Recorded and Mixed the songs “Say Goodbye” & “Goodbye” by Erin Ann Scott. Go to: http://www.myspace.com/erinannscott for more details. I also recorded 14 other songs for Erin Ann and will mix those on the Tonelux as well. Top session musicians who played on these songs include Vinnie Colaiuta - drums, John Leftwich - bass, Matt Rowlings - piano, Gabe Witcher - fiddle, Greg Liesz – pedal steel, and Luis Conte - percussion.
The following recent mixes are commercially available:
- “BACK COUNTRY” The New Live Concert CD and DVD From Five For Fighting available on Columbia Records
- “OneRepublic” Live Concert Videos (including the Number 1 Hit “Apologize,” “Stop and Stare” and “All Fall Down” for Live Nation, Universal Music and iTunes. Buy the whole album from iTunes and get the live videos I mixed for free.
- Switchfoot “Live at the Ventura Theatre” DVD sold exclusively at bandfarm.com. The Stereo and 5.1 mixes came out great, however, only a Dolby Digital encoded 5.1 stream is included on the DVD.
